When you have to deliver bad news to a founder (rejection or a down round), how do you handle it emotionally?

- It's strictly business; I don't feel much.
- I feel terrible and try to sugarcoat it to be 'nice'.
- I feel bad, but I give it to them straight because it's better for them.
- I try to pass the task to someone else if possible.
