The freeze on regulated rail fares in England, the first in 30 years, will not be extended beyond this year, so fares are due to rise from April 2027. The freeze covered season tickets and most peak commuter returns. Single bus fares outside London will be capped at £2 for all of 2027. How will you cope with dearer train fares?
