From November 1, the EU charges a €2 handling fee on parcels sent from outside the EU straight to consumers, for each different item in a shipment. A package with a T-shirt, a phone case and a book pays €6, while four identical T-shirts pay €2. The fee comes on top of the €3 flat customs duty per product category that has applied since July. Sellers pay it, but they may pass it on in higher prices. Will you still order from Shein or Temu?
