From November 20, stricter EU rules apply to buy-now-pay-later offers and small loans in Germany. Providers such as PayPal and Klarna must check whether you can afford to repay, even for credit under €200 and interest-free payment delays. From the same day, credit agencies such as SCHUFA must explain on request how your score came about, including the scores calculated over the past 12 months. Will stricter checks change how you pay online?
